Scarpaw and Rabbitpaw Assignment

"Tag! You're it!" Snowypaw yelped at her sister. Rabbitpaw giggled and chased her blind little sister through the snow. "Watch out!" Scarpaw called from behind the running she cats. Too late! "Oof!" Rabbitpaw and Snowypaw grunted as they fell. "GIRLS!" yelped Nightstream. "Sorry Mama..." The sisters harmonized. "I told you to stay out of the big cat's way! We're doing a very important deed!" Nightstream hissed. The apprentices put their heads down. "Now, can you all go be useful and try to hunt???" Nightstream's tone softened. "Yes mama!" They meowed, dashing off toward the forest, Scarpaw trailing closely behind.

Scarpaw chased after his sisters," Wait up!" He breathed. His sisters were too busy giggling. Scarpaw shrugged and sniffed out a vole. He stalked toward the scent, crouching down. The little mouse-looking creature was scuffling around in the snow. Scarpaw stalked forward, keeping his belly close to the ground and making sure his tail wasn't dragging. He waited a few moments.NowF! He pounced forward, landing squarely on the vole. He bit into it's neck, the warm taste of blood swarmed over his tongue. "Look what I got!" He yelled as he ran back toward his sisters, the vole in his teeth.
